God's Children Bringing Hope and Recovery to Hurting Children
How You Can Help

Help Provide a Van to Help Those in Need

We bring you greetings of the Season, and pray God's blessings on you. We praise God for your prayers and donations on the behalf of the needy in Romania. We are hopeful that you can help with an urgent need that has arisen. The 22 year old van is "breathing it's last breath." God's Children has provided the down payment of $1,400 on a good used 7 passenger van. All we need now is $6,000 more to buy the van outright. You can see photos of those served by the van below.

Twelve inches of beautiful snow lies on the ground today with more coming down thick and fast! The ancient van cannot make the daily rounds to carry nurses, food, and medical supplies for Hospice and Home Health care to the shut-ins. The van is also needed to pick up and distribute food to the needy. Next year, it will take disadvantaged children to Summer Camp in the magnificent forest of the Carpathian Mountains, and bring Let's Start Talking Teams from the airport to Sfantu Gheorghe.

I give thanks that God is helping me honor Dan's request to carry on our work in Romania. Being on the field to witness with my own eyes the needs as they arise is a true blessing. In November, because of your desire to help the children and elderly living in poverty, $5,500 was donated to the Covasna County Red Cross - for food, clothing, medicine, medical equipment, More than 20 boxes of good, warm used clothing will soon be arriving at the Red Cross to be distributed among the poor. Over $800 has been donated to buy winter clothing for the children.

Please, pray that God will raise up kind hearts to provide this van that is needed so badly! If you feel led to help provide the van to serve these precious souls, send your tax deductible check made out to:

Summer Camp

Disadvantaged children get to spend one week at Summer Camp in the forest with kind counselors because of donations to the Covasna County Red Cross. For many of these children, this is the first time to be in the forest, and have 3 square meals a day.

Red Cross Camp

At the Red Cross camp, children learn how to cooperate and obey instructions... building self respect while they play outdoors in the pure mountain air in the valley of the Carpathian Mountains. The Red Cross Board in each of 18 villages selects the children who qualify to attend this free camp.

Home Care

These dear people depend upon the van to bring trained professional nurses to provide daily care for them. The van also brings medical equipment, medicine and food to them. Dan and I were greatly blessed by Home Health Care in the U.S. We hope it can continue for these Romanians...and expand to serve more people in the future.

Donations in Honor of...

Instead of flowers for the memorial service, Dan requested contributions to God's Children to help feed and provide medical care for abandoned children in Covasna County, Romania. Dan's legacy lives on through Anne and Let's Start Talking Teams who serve there now.
